Pharmaceutical Logistics

Pharmaceutical Logistics

A complete end to end and secure supply chain solution delivered for our client operating within the pharmaceutical sector. We understand the importance of good planning and monitoring of temperature and data to be seen as a partner for this industry sector.

Many of MTL’s operations today, see us delivering service solutions to organisations operating within the pharmaceutical industry.

It is a sector that we have become very familiar with and knowledgeable as to the requirements that are critical within it. We have a number of clients operating within this sector, with varied needs, but one particular client approached us after having difficulties with their previous logistics partner.

After consultation, we suggested that we undertook an example journey for our client. We worked with them to plan the consignment logistics, we detailed routes and security and we provided access to our fleet management and temperature controlled systems to allow transparency and information for the project.

We allowed the client confidence that we were more than prepared to prove our organisation as the perfect support partner for their product logistics, that as part of this trial run, we presented a document that this is now how each and every consignment would be planned, managed and delivered.
We understood our client’s requirement for good end to end, secure and monitored temperature controlled pharmaceutical supply chain solutions, what they did not expect was the service level and future service level agreements that we could offer.

We are specialised in temperature-controlled distribution and continue to provide this particular client with services and an approach that delivers support and knowledge that product integrity is never compromised.

Temperature controlled distribution of pharmaceutical products is becoming evermore prevalent, with issues such as global warming and weather patterns more unpredictable. By providing our client with the
facility to monitor, through our online access, the progress of their consignment, temperature data throughout, as well as the facility to report back to us with any information they required us to be aware of, our relationship has grown.

Through relationships, research and working together, we not only understand the pharmaceutical industry sector logistics, we have
assisted our client in pro-active ways to make it better.

Our client required a service that allowed for a direct delivery from manufacturing point through to final delivery destination, with no interruption between. Another advantage we offered our client and many within the pharmaceutical industry sector, was that we could provide split temperature in the one vehicle. This was very advantageous to this particular client, with them now being able to transport multiple consignments in the one vehicle, but also be able to control the temperature for each.
As well as the processes we offer for each of our clients, for our pharmaceutical sector clients, we offer the following direct services:

| Temperature controlled distribution – Full loads/Split temperature Loads
| Real-Time temperature data monitoring
| Real-Time fleet tracking information
| Refrigeration unit shut down alarms and messaging
| Product Integrity and security procedures and reporting

We are pleased to say that to date, our relationship with this particular client, now sees us be a supportive partner for their pharmaceutical product logistics throughout Europe.
We also provide these services and approach to many clients who operate with this particular product, as well as others requiring temperature controlled solutions.
